I’m glad you’re here 🙂
Analytics
I’ve been interested in data analytics for quite some time. These days analytics and smart marketing go hand in hand.
By collecting and analyzing data using charts and tables, I’m able to convey key insights about website or app user engagement to my clients that impact their content marketing decision making e.g. what days to post a newsletter, which data sources draw the highest quality traffic i.e. users that click on activities, play videos, etc
Analytics tools or platforms I have experience with include:

Social Media Strategy
NOWzapp is an iOS and Android app that allows you to make plans with your friends right now or later. The selling point is that the app allows you to make plans in seconds i.e. get together with friends that also want to see you with the press of a button without having to skim through a long text message threads, etc.
This social media strategy was created for PPC ad campaigns. The founder wanted to know which social media channel to invest into, what kind of content to post, when to post, and more.
Dirtybird Records Website
Dirtybird is an independent record label based in Los Angeles, California. The label was founded in January 2005 by Claude VonStroke and specializes in a brand of house music he describes as “tech funk.”
For this assignment, they wanted a new eCommerce website with a clean, minimalist layout that would allow for a better user experience. They also wanted to highlight their online store items, events and music catalogs more. I made a conscious effort to feature their music and clothes across the home page to do this and ultimately increase sales. The platform I used was Shopify.
I really enjoyed working on this project and hope to work with them again in the near future.
ADDY Media Website
ADDY.media is a video content production company known for creating prime video content for Lifestyle, Fashion, Pop Culture, Music and Art events. This entertainment media company produces PR packages for their clients, including 2 minute editorial clips, 30 second Social Media videos, Event Sizzle Reels and branded films.
The founder and CEO wanted a modern, simple one-pager website that highlighted her company’s distribution channels (YouTube, Amazon Prime, Vimeo) and her video production work with a quick glance, along with a newsletter registration form synced to her MailChimp newsletter contact list.
You can click here to view the site or check out the screenshots below to see my work. I used WordPress to build this site.
Please Note: This agreement did not include SEO optimization for the website.
Vanessa Jay Mulder Website
I met Vanessa Jay Mulder through a mutual friend in September 2016. The reason we were introduced to each other is because she was in need of a website redesign in preparation for her new album release.
Vanessa was born in Suriname and raised in Amsterdam where she attended the Amsterdam Ballet Academy and studied different forms of dancing. Her career took off at an early age when she was cast in tv shows and music videos as a dancer/background singer for artists like Debarge and the Time Bandits.
In 1990 she moved to Italy and continued her career alongside artists like Raf, Zucchero, and Delmar Brown. During this same period, she took her first steps as a recording artist, collaborating with well-known Italian persona, DJ Massimo Padovani. They collaborated on the track “Nasty Rhythm” by Irma Records. She’s been in Italy ever since, making alternative music from the soul. Feel free to check out her music below.
Cheat Sheets–13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don’t Do (Book)
This was a graphic design project for a children’s book. Amy Morin, the author, wanted cheat sheets she could email to the purchasers of her book (13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don’t Do) as a free bonus.
She wanted something simple and visually appealing. By using combinations of shapes, colors, graphics, and anything else I saw fit, I was able to come up with the finished product you see above. The client also wanted a picture of the book cover on each page.
Lastly, I made sure all the sheets looked similar with slight variations to maintain branding consistency.
National Academy of Design Board Member Manual
I really enjoyed working on this project for the National Academy of Design. The project scope included an 85-page manual for the organization’s board members (a group of well-respected artists and architects).
This comprehensive guide included background information about the academy, official documents, images, and detailed information about their board and staff members.
Check it out! Simply scroll through the PDF. The tools I used were Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
Music Artwork
I’m passionate about music so creating music artwork for an album or single cover is fun for me. Music related projects never feel like work for me and designing music artwork is something I can do quickly. Check out some of the single covers I’ve created below.
Warehouse 51 Instagram
WarehouseFiftyOne is an entity managed by Boardwalk Management Group, an event management company. They organize and promote annual conventions for fans of arts and entertainment collectibles. The images here show examples of me using Instagram as a platform to drive engagement and create excitement for WarehouseFiftyOne’s first annual event—Anacon 2014.
Driving engagement (For example, communicating directly with people to get their attention) and using ‘social listening’ to give me ideas about content for this target audience led to the success of this project. The social media platforms I used were Twitter and Instagram. 1000+ people attended the event.
Other events like Anacon include ComicCon and WonderCon. These are conventions where comic book, hot wheel, and star trek fanatics unite once a year from all around the country and the rest of the world.
NOWzapp Instagram Ads
NOWzapp is a social app that allows you to make plans with your friends right now or later. The selling point is that the app allows you to make plans easily and quickly i.e. get together with friends that also want to see you with the press of a button without having to skim through a long text message threads, etc.
These ads were designed for people between the working millennial with interests in restaurants, festivals, sporting events, and other social activities.
Social Media Marketing
Based on my experience and all the tips I come across, I’m absolutely convinced that social media marketing is not about getting the most followers. The most important aspect of social media marketing is your level of engagement (directly interacting with people) — that’s what makes it such a grind. It takes up a ton of time. But in the end, the results are always worth it.
Engaging with people on social media (liking posts, reposting content, and commenting consistently) is what drives repeat visitors to your brand. It’s what generates metrics that truly matter, like the number of retweets for your Twitter post, the number of Instagram likes you get, etc. Think about it. What’s the point of having thousands of followers if only a handful of people interact with your content? This stuff creates a trickle down effect because whatever piece of content you have that someone interacts with will be seen by their followers. Your following will grow organically in the process.
If you don’t engage with your following and prospects, you won’t get the kind of attention you’re seeking. Period.
Check out the screenshots below for some of my examples.
Aeternal Lovers Social Media Ads
I designed some social media ads to serve as click bait for an up and coming fashion brand based in New York City. My client wanted me to generate content for their Instagram page that would generate click-throughs to their Instagram shop and website. As you can see, I used transparency, contrast, bold text, bold numbers and images to produce the final drafts. Captions were provided as well.
FabricatedMinds Instagram
FabricatedMinds is a fashion, art, and culture blog I started for fun back in 2013. I just wanted to make something out of the things I was passionate about. I created it so I could foster an online community for people that equally passionate about the same things.
For me, the primary goal with social media has always been to drive engagement by either creating or searching the web for quality content that I can share. With FabricatedMinds I just like to post stuff that people would appreciate from time to time.
However, in order to be successful using social media as a tool for effective outreach, one must be strategic. For instance, it’s important to post content on Instagram at least 2 to 3x a day. However, you have to post at the right time to generate significant engagement. For instagram, research from many sources suggests that the best time to post on Instagram is on Wednesdays between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Check out the chart below.

Check out a couple of video promos I designed for a New York based fashion brand. My client’s value proposition is centered around eco-friendly/up-cycled fashion.
EPK: Willoughby Project Playlist Volume 1 EP
Willoughby Project Playlist Volume 1 EP is the first published music collection of the self-taught instrumentalist and Producer/Songwriter, Willoughby Project. I was happy to assist him by providing him with this simple Press Kit to help him get his music distributed on popular music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
This EP features gently sung R&B vocals around sultry piano and keyboards, experimental sounds, soulful grooves, emotionally charged lyrics and vocals that intersect perfectly between Alternative and R&B/Soul genres. It’s a collection of songs and lyrics inspired by dating in New York City and previous relationships. Songs that will satisfy your emotional and moody appetite.

Artist In Conversation Flyer: David Humphrey and Mary Heilmann
The National Academy of Design is an honorary association of American artists, founded in New York City in 1825 to “promote the fine arts in America through instruction and exhibition.”
“Artist In Conversation” was an intimate interview-style salon hosted by the National Academy of Design. During the panel discussion, artists discuss their inspirations, how their art represents everyday life, contemporary politics and more.
This was a flyer I designed for one of these events while serving as a contractor in the fall of 2017.

Luxor + Finch Website
Luxor + Finch Consulting bridges the gap between fashion and technology.
When Jessica, Luxor + Finch CEO & Founder, came to me and explained the look and feel she was seeking for her website I knew she was the perfect client. She wanted a minimalist design layout that was edgy and sophisticated.
The project was a five-page responsive website, including a landing page that linked the site to her blog.
Display Retargeting Ads: Amy Morin Book
Retargeting ads are a form of online advertising. These ads are served to people who have already visited your website or are a contact in your database (like a lead or customer).
I designed these banner ads to help promote the release of my client’s book, 13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don’t Do, back in the summer of 2017.
BuckWild Entertainment Website
BuckWild Entertainment is a production services company based out of Los Angeles, CA. My client wanted a sleek and modern website that highlighted the companies featured shows and services in an interactive way. I used quite a bit of text animation and gifs to accomplish just that. I also designed the logo.
Dopeshack Logo
This is a logo I created for a music blog back in 2013 (Time flies!). As you can see from the design, I used the concept of a text based logo with a single icon in place of the letter “A.” Using the shack as an icon helps the viewer interpret the word shack without actually reading that portion of the text and makes it easier to recognize the logo.
KH Bowen Co. Logo
This is a logo design I did for a startup marketing agency. The client wanted something simple and clean, so I gave him a logo with design elements focused on elements like the font and lines. It’s important to have colorful logos, but overdoing it can backfire. Think about it, some of the most famous logos are actually in black and white. Like Nike, Apple, etc. However, in certain cases colors are of importance.
Fabricatedminds Logo
Fabricatedminds is an ongoing personal project of mine. It’s a society I created for people that share my interest in fashion, art, and culture—three things I love. I envision a brand with a strong following made up of people that share my passion.
I launched a website with a blog to compliment it back in November 2013. The content consisted of insightful posts about different cultures around the world, traditional and modern fashion trends, and art sightings of all kinds—abstract, observational, and crafts.
I’m currently preparing to revamp the website, re-launch the blog, organize a team, and work on a plan to incorporate events into the mix.
Lastly, in case you didn’t notice, I drew inspiration from this logo design to create the logo for this site.
Paris Midi Logo
Logo design for a French restaurant. Per request, I drew inspiration for the design from the Paris metro and the Seine, a 777-kilometre long river and an important commercial waterway within the Paris Basin in the north of France.
